This data is valuable for planners considering new development, for traffic engineers working on safety issues, and for business deciding where to invest. What if? Modeling transportation data helps planners make decisions about where to invest transportation funds. Models also tell us if a new turn lane will likely reduce air pollution by keeping traffic moving, or create a backup near a school or hospital.
