As the infrastructure funding gap continues to grow, prudent investments are needed now to prevent further deterioration of our transportation infrastructure: streets, highways, bridges, rail and transit systems, pedestrian and bikeway systems, airports, ports, and waterways. The public sector has a responsibility to act to improve safety, support quality of life, and enhance economic competitiveness.
Developed collaboratively by a group of regional stakeholders, the policy briefs which comprise the Legislative Agenda provide insight into transportation programs and issues and inform federal, state, and local government policymakers, including legislators. The Toledo Region Transportation Coalition calls on policymakers to make prudent investments of transportation resources across all modes and to work to increase the amount of resources available.
