Public Transit
Providing mobility and accessibility
Public transportation is a critical component of mobility and accessibility in our region. School children, people with disabilities, and people who just don't want to drive, need public transit. TMACOG partners with public transit agencies, human services providers, local governments, businesses, and citizens to plan for the future of transit in our region.
Long-Range Transit Planning
Public transportation is a complicated service that is political, expensive and necessary. TMACOG provides research and recommendations on how to better coordinate transit services in northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan.

Locally Coordinated Human Services Transportation Plan
TARTA and TMACOG are working together in 2020 to update the Locally Coordinated Human Services Transportation Plan.
The purpose of the plan is to identify community resources for transportation, understand the gaps and unmet needs within those resources, and determine an approach to addressing those needs. When health and human service providers coordinate with public transit providers, service is improved and costs are reduced.
