Comment on updates to the 2026-2029 TIP
TMACOG's MPO Policy Board will consider an amendment on Wednesday, December 3.
Toledo Metropolitan Area Council of Governments (TMACOG) is accepting public comment on recommended changes to the Fiscal Year 2026-2029 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP).
The TIP is a list of specific projects that implement the policies laid out in the Transportation Plan. TIP projects are recommended by project sponsors from around the region, including cities, villages, county engineers, transit providers, and the Ohio Department of Transportation over a four-year period. TMACOG’s Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Policy Board votes on the final approval of the TIP project list and is responsible for considering and approving changes brought forth in TIP amendments.
TMACOG’s Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) has recommended two amendments to the Fiscal Year 2026-2029 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) be presented to the MPO Policy Board at its next meeting.
TIP Amendment #3 (click to read) addresses five projects in the 2026-2029 TIP, including:
- PID 117040 Lucas SR 65 5.35 Craig Memorial Bridge (changes the project list type from a SLI grouped project to an individual project): A major bridge funded rehabilitation project for the Craig Memorial Bridge in Toledo, Ohio to upgrade the electrical and mechanical components of the lift bridge;
- PID 117228 Lucas CR 501 5.8 Secor Road Reconstruction (project deletion): Project in the City of Toledo to improve the level of service on Secor Road from Kenwood Boulevard to Central Avenue. Includes complete removal and replacement of pavement, a shared use path, curb and gutter, drive approaches, minor drainage improvements, and other associated necessary items. Project also includes locally funded water main replacement;
- PID 117678 Wood US 20 2.55 Interchange (increase right-of-way phase estimate): A project to improve the safety performance at the interchange of I-75 and US-20/23 (Fremont Pike) in Wood County by constructing a diverging diamond interchange. Project includes construction of a shared use path along US-20/23 and a roundabout at the intersection of US-20/23 and East South Boundary Street. Perform necessary related work;
- PID 118583 TARTA 2026 Bus, Facility, and Equipment (addition of two project phases and modification of one project phase): Bus replacements, facility rehabilitation/renovation, and bus equipment in FY 2026;
- PID 118584 TARTA 2027 Bus, Facility, and Equipment (addition of seven project phases, modification of nine project phases, and deletion of six project phases): Bus replacements, facility rehabilitation/renovation, and bus equipment in FY 2027.
TIP Amendment #4 (click to read) addresses five projects in the 2026-2029 TIP, including:
- PID 124897 Wood SR 105 0.47 Dunbridge Roundabout (project addition): Project in the City of Bowling Green (Wood County) to construct a modern single lane roundabout at East Wooster Street (SR 105) and Dunbridge Road and extend a shared use path east of the roundabout. Includes necessary related scope;
- PID 124898 Lucas SR 25 9.8 Cherry Street SUP (project addition): Project in the City of Toledo (Lucas County) to add a shared use path on Cherry Street from Summit Street to Greenbelt Parkway. Includes necessary related scope;
- PID 124899 Wood TR 696 1.13 Carronade SUP (project addition): Project in the City of Perrysburg (Wood County) to construct a shared use path on Carronade Drive from Hulls Trace Drive to Fremont Pike (US 20/23). Includes necessary related scope;
- PID 124900 Lucas Erie & Michigan Bike Lanes (project addition): Project in the City of Toledo (Lucas County) to replace traffic delineators for bike lanes on Erie Street and Michigan Avenue. Includes necessary related scope;
- PID 124987 Lucas Roche de Boeuf SUP & Overlook (project addition): Project in the City of Waterville (Lucas County) to construct a shared use path from the Anthony Wayne Trail south to the Maumee River and a new scenic overlook on the abutments of the demolished Roche de Boeuf historical bridge. Includes parking area, lighting, and other necessary related scope.
The MPO Policy Board will meet to consider approval of these amendments on Wednesday, December 3, 2025.
