Active Transportation Advisory Group
Purpose
The Active Transportation Advisory Group is responsible for implementing the portion of the regional transportation program that applies to walking and biking, as well as coordinating and promoting bicycle and pedestrian facility plans, safety programs and regulations. It was previously known as the Pedestrian & Bikeways Advisory Group.
Activities
Current activities of this advisory group include developing of a comprehensive inventory of both pedestrian and bicycle facilities in the region, supporting implementation of the pedestrian and bike portion of the Regional Transportation Plan, and preparing materials to promote development and use of these alternative modes of transportation.
Upcoming Meeting Schedules
Unless otherwise announced, all meetings take place quarterly on the 3rd Tuesday at 9 a.m. in the TMACOG Boardroom.
