Apply to serve on the Natural Resources Assistance Council
Applications are now open to help guide conservation investments in Lucas County through the Clean Ohio Fund.
Lake Erie West Regional Council is now accepting applications for membership on the Natural Resources Assistance Council (NRAC) District 12, which helps guide conservation investments in Lucas County through the Clean Ohio Fund.
NRAC plays a key role in reviewing and recommending funding for projects that protect open space, enhance watersheds, and preserve natural resources across the region. Since its creation in 2000, the Clean Ohio Fund has returned more than $20 million to Lucas County to support local conservation efforts.
The Lake Erie West Regional Council serves as the administrative home for NRAC District 12. We are seeking four new members, including representatives from:
- Government
- Agriculture/forestry
- Business
- One at-large position (government, conservation, parks, agriculture/forestry, or business)
NRAC is an 11-member volunteer body responsible for evaluating grant applications and making funding recommendations based on statewide criteria.
Applications are due July 17, 2026.

- A letter of interest in serving on the Natural Resources Assistance Council (NRAC) Board
- A letter of nomination from a recognized entity in group 1 thru 5 (see Natural Resources Assistance Council (NRAC) Nomination Ballot form)
- A statement of the nominee’s background or qualifications
- A completed Natural Resources Assistance Council Nomination Ballot
