Local Projects Selected for Funding
Four of eight major transportation projects in northwest Ohio that were submitted to ODOT are included in the draft program list for Tier II funding by Transportation Review Advisory Council (TRAC). Selection “is a big step in the right direction,” says Warren Henry, TMACOG vice president of Transportation.
- Complete six-lane section of I-75 in north Toledo between Lagrange and I-280 ($3 million for preliminary engineering and design development)
- Modify interchange at US 20 (Central Ave.) and I-475 in Sylvania Township ($5 million for preliminary engineering and design development)
- Create new State Route 18 corridor from CSX Gateway (in North Baltimore) to I-75 ($2 million for preliminary engineering)
- Add third lane on both north- and south-bound I-75 from Perrysburg to Findlay ($2 million for preliminary engineering)
