Case Studies in Best Local Land Uses
A series of workshops will be offered in May exploring green infrastructure through case studies. TMACOG is helping to promote the workshops to help engineers, the development community, and local government officials integrate green infrastructure into development and to help local officials evaluate plans to manage stormwater and reduce pollution in their communities. The technical session for engineers is May 5 (May 4 in Cleveland). The general session for decision-makers is May 13 (May 12 in Cleveland). Interested people should register for one workshop only, either the technical or general workshop depending on interests and most convenient location. Registration and more information are available here.
The workshops are the result of collaboration between the Ohio Lake Erie Commission, Cleveland State University and CDM, Inc., which worked together to develop a series of case studies evaluating the development feasibility of recommended stormwater best practices. The studies compare conventional and best practices, recommended decision-making tools, and recommended streamlined review processes. Break out sessions will include hands-on planning exercises.
