Erichsen Appointed to U.S. EPA Advisory Council
TMACOG Vice President of Environmental Planning Kurt Erichsen, P.E., has been invited to serve a two-year term on the National Advisory Council for Environmental Policy and Technology. The NACEPT provides advice to the Administrator of the U.S. EPA on a broad range of environmental policy, technology, and management issues. His two-year appointment began February 24, 2010, and continues until February 24, 2012. Council members include senior leaders and experts who represent academia, business and industry, community and environmental advocacy groups, environmental justice organizations, professional organizations, and state, local, and tribal governments.
Among other affiliations, Erichsen is an associate member of the Wood County Township Association, a member of the Ohio Lake Erie Commission Advisory Committee and the Northwest Ohio Sewage Consortium, an Ohio Stormwater Task Force member, member of the Great Lakes Regional Collaboration, and member of the Black Swamp Conservancy. In state and federal decision-making groups, Erichsen has provided expertise in issues involving contaminated sediments in area waterways and sediment dispersal in the Great Lakes.
