CPESC Certification Exam

The deadline for registration for the Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) exam is August 10, 2009. The exam will be given Thursday, August 20 at the Home Builders Association of Greater Toledo in Maumee. To be qualified to sit for the exam interested individuals must submit an application package to CPESC and be approved. For more information on this process, go to www.cpesc.org. To register for the exam, go to www.co.lucas.oh.us/lswcd and follow the online instructions. Successful certification will be based on results of the examination and review of an individual's educational, scientific, and service activities in both the public and private sector

The CPESC certification is valuable to engineers, designers, builders, construction professionals, and inspectors. Also, ODOT now requires that Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWP3s) be designed by a Professional Engineer who is CPESC certified.
